Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 9th August 2009 - 17:08 12 Aug 09 oh, there was 2? i only saw 1, um i think it was a black briefcase sized back pack thingy, it might've had some silver on it. having said that if anyone else had somethin similar then ideal, all i really wanted was some tips on putting something basic,portable and loud together in time for the skyride...

When I get time I'll have a further look around. Usually for the Skyride the London Sound, Cambox and Micks boxes all radio link together.

Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 9th August 2009 - 18:14 12 Aug 09 it was the 'tinny thing' i saw, never noticed your 'big bass monster'. 'big bass monster' certainly sounds more promising but any pointers i get will have to be from someone used to teaching with crayons

iv seen the setup u guys use for the freewheel/skyride on previous years, thats way too complicated and more importantly (for me) expensive. i need the basics, something i can mount in a 'boom tube' using battery powered car speakers or similar, i suspect its more complicated than that tho so anyone who can give me pointers would be great.
(i'll stop cluttering up the wrong thread now, sorry)

Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 9th August 2009 - 09:01 13 Aug 09 I have just had a sneak preview ofmy coleagiue Phil's photos of Goodwood. He was the photogtapher who spent two hours walking round the track taking photos away from the start-finish area. You get a really good idea of what it is like out round the track. He'll be loading them onto his web ste in the next few days and sending a link.

Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 9th August 2009 - 13:27 13 Aug 09 I have sent a write up of "My Goodwood" to Mike van Erp of Londonskaters for his web site. Not upyet though. He has very kindly donated £20 to the NSPCC for my writing (and possibly skating) efforts.
