Reading Half Marathon - 18:29 08 Jul 05 I've finally remembered to do it.

Today I mailed the organisers a preliminary query about our possible inclusion as skaters. Watch this space for responses and post any queries / information that you think would be useful here. ! Skate Monkey !

Re:Reading Half Marathon - 18:37 11 Jul 05 unfortunately we are not able to accommodate speed skating in the event as we are not allowed under the AAA of England rules.

Didn't take long, did it.

Oh well. Perhaps we ought to lobby with AAA, which presumably stands for 'Another Alcoholics Anonymous', or possibly the Amateur Athletics Association...

best to get a tie in via FISS, and run a earlier speed skate on the same day.

we could do it after, but can you imagine the carnage as the leading runners are caught 200 meters from the end by someone skating backwards, swigging a Stella!!!
