Re:24hr Top Gear Ultraskate - April 10/11 - 22:06 25 Mar 10 Hey, that would be right and proper!
PS deadline for t-shirts is this Sunday... and have you seen the raffle prizes? I know they're quite heavily weighted towards skateboarding but even so... there's some fancy gear there... so bring lots of raffle money, and win some cool stuff!
Total raised is now £8500.

Re:24hr Top Gear Ultraskate - April 10/11 - 19:09 26 Mar 10 Jo! Would it be OK if we handed some flyers out for Goodwood please?

Total raised is now £8500. That is awesome!! I'm starting to think we are organising our event wrong!
In Vauxhall for the roller disco. Impressive setup. Now it's time to get my groove on - Twitter Status

Re:24hr Top Gear Ultraskate - April 10/11 - 13:21 27 Mar 10 Sure! Thanks for checking but of course that's fine - charity and all that!
See you soon!

Re:24hr Top Gear Ultraskate - April 10/11 - 22:26 04 Apr 10 Hey everyone! Just back from a meeting at Dunsfold and it's all looking good there. I'd forgotten how huge the place is!

Fantastic to come home and find out that we have raised over TEN THOUSAND POUNDS for charity. Amazing.

One thing that came up in the meeting at Dunsfold which I've put on the website but it's probably worth mentioning is about photography. Normally Dunsold operate a no photographs policy because of their clients' privacy but they've said we can take pictures of the skating of course, but they requested that we refrain from photographing anything else at the airfield. In particular private cars and aircraft. I promised I would pass this request on to everyone.

See you all on the track!
Jo xx

Re:24hr Top Gear Ultraskate - April 10/11 - 07:20 06 Apr 10 Right guy's, who's going??

As Jo says on the website and e-mails, if your name isn't on the list then you aren't getting in and this goes for support crew too! Names I have spotted...

- mindintransit
- Peter
- Tom
- Dogsbody
- Vix
- Rog
- Red
- MCS
- Retry
.. Have I missed any one?

Jo has kindly added my parents to the support crew list too who aim to be there on Saturday evening to cook us some food on the BBQ if we are all up for it!?

While I think we can all look after ourselves, bring your own water, snacks, BBQ food and accommodation I think a few are bringing things for the group. I'll be taking the big tent and everyone is welcome to share that for a storage area and food store etc. I'll also try and find the water containers I had although I think some of them burst at Goodwood thinking about it. Anyone bringing anything else?

Looks like a large number of London Skaters will be there and a few skaters from up north too.

What time are people thinking of getting there?

Re:24hr Top Gear Ultraskate - April 10/11 - 07:47 06 Apr 10 Can we sleep in your tent too???...

Your Mum and Dad are so sweet... Do we need to bring them a BBQ to cook on??? a couple of the disposable ones would work???

I know we have some water containers lurking around somewhere and will see if I can find them...

Anyone know what the weather is meant to be doing next weekend???

Re:24hr Top Gear Ultraskate - April 10/11 - 10:37 06 Apr 10 I don't know how people are planning on getting themselves + their bits n pieces there but I'm based in Camberley and can give a lift to a couple of people if they need it.

Also, I don't know how well lit the track is at night time? I'm guessing some lights/torches/candles/nvg's etc (ok, maybe not candles and nvg's but you get the idea) might be handy if anyone has a surplus of those?

PM if you want a lift.

R

Tom and I won't be there until about 7pm as

(a) he is working until 6pm

and

(b) he wants to go via KFC on the way
