Le Mans - Race Report - 00:36 05 Jul 05 Drakey wrote:
Just a brief post as i need some sleep!
me and Dan had a great time, despite the weather being very hot, all the London teams camped together, which was fun!

i'll do a full list of results for Uk teams later,
but the London Speed Skaters Team 2 came 137th out of 595 finishers (approx 640 started!) completing 142 laps and 593.56 kilometres

Team 1 which included our very own Ruff came 38th, covering 164 laps and total distance of 685.52 kilometres.

amazing weekend, new friendships made, can't wait 'till next year!

oh and lemming you really should have been there!

Re:Le Mans - Race Report - 00:54 05 Jul 05 OK, All I'm putting up is the results, I'll post more on the actual race later

Our team came 137 overall and 112 in our grouping against 607 teams and we did 142 laps which is a total of 593.56 km (368.82 miles) which is an average speed of 24.73 km/h (15.36 mph).

Results can be found on the 24 Rollers Site.

Re:Le Mans - Race Report - 06:25 05 Jul 05 That's pretty good going. Well done guys! It's well up the finishers list.

Mention should be made of the LSST women's team - they came third in their category and made the podium!

I'll be there next year...

Re:Le Mans - Race Report - 10:25 05 Jul 05 Sounds like we need a Camberley team for next year. Not sure I'm up to 15kms per hour though but might be good a pit-crew !

Re:Le Mans - Race Report - 16:56 05 Jul 05 15 miles an hour for 2 miles should be easy to do to start with. I'm more concerned how I'm feeling by 3 am... ! Skate Monkey !

Re:Le Mans - Race Report - 17:41 05 Jul 05 You know Lemming you and I aren't so different. I agree I don't know how I'd be at 3am either - dead on my feet, hence why I suggested myself for pit-crew.

Plus that means I get order everyone around - yes, I like that idea

Re:Le Mans - Race Report - 18:13 05 Jul 05 I don't like the sound of that. Anyway, I'm partially deaf. I don't hear anything that's bad, but all the good filters through nicely... ! Skate Monkey !

Re:Le Mans - Race Report - 19:36 05 Jul 05 It wasn't 3am that was a problem for me, even 4am was fine. The worst time was noon on the Sunday as the Sun was so high in the sky and SO amazinly hot!
