Re:London Sky Ride - 5th Sept 2010 - 10:29 03 Sep 10 WOW - Have just looked at the route. There is a lot more than last year.

I'm flexible on timing, and indeed it may be a good idea to get there early if we want to look around the Entertainment Village, or do a lot of skating. Under my current rate of progress I doubt I will get round that route more than once, even given all day to do it! LOL

My only suggestion for parking would be the free place as used by us for the Bunny and other strolls, but with the event on, anybodies guess if it would have spaces. The advantage of Ravenscourt was parking. Park Lane Car Park appears to be £22 (per vehicle) up to 9 hours. Meter parking in Hyde Park is expensive and may have a max time limit. If it comes to it, we will have a whip round for parking.

Presume:
Red, Liz and Bike - if circumstances permit - Car 1
DB, Merry, MCS and Cambox - Car 2
Rog - Are you going direct by train, or coming to Bagshot?

Re:London Sky Ride - 5th Sept 2010 - 20:45 03 Sep 10 Please note the the Ladies World Cup final& 3rd place play-off is being held at the Stoop on Sunday. 1pm for the play-off and 5.15pm for the Final. Possibly OK on the way there, but not so good for the way back - probably better to do the M4 / M25/ M3.

Hope to be able to come, even if we meet you there.

BTW, Saw a message from Stevie B, the skaters are meeting at Wellington Arch at 12.30pm.

Re:London Sky Ride - 5th Sept 2010 - 17:08 06 Sep 10 Well I thought the afternoon was brill. Also pleased with the distance I did without my usual foot/ankle/leg problems!

As for the morning? Unfortunately the event is just getting more popular than there is space for. It's kinda weird when you are trying to convince people to use bikes so the roads aren't clogged, to find the roads are chocked up with too many bikes.

Hope you getting over yesterdays incident OK Red.

Really good to go for the meal afterwards. Made a nice finish to the day. Perhaps we should do that more often?

Re:London Sky Ride - 5th Sept 2010 - 18:06 06 Sep 10 Unlike Shakira, my hips are lying to me a lot today! Cambox needs to be lighter.

I hope the mouth heals up soon Red!
There're some awesome films in the charts at the moment. How did I miss Ozombie? An Osama Bin Laden zombie movie! Or Strippers Vs Warewolves - Twitter Status

Re:London Sky Ride - 5th Sept 2010 - 21:35 06 Sep 10 The inside is beginning to knit together - thank goodness, no more mincemeat feel.

The bruises are coming out nicely, have used half a tube of arnica already.

Blood blister on my lip seems to have disappeared, but it's swelled nicely and sounds like I've got a fag in my mouth all the time. LOL

Anyhoo, my Mum was horrified !! LOL But you know it takes more than a mere collision to put me down !!
