Re:Introduce yourself! - 08:18 07 Apr 09 Hi there. I am fairyl new to skating having only got hooked on it when in Germany last year - the UK just doesn't seem to be that skater friendly Still very basic but love it and am desperate to find some good places to skate near Reading/Maidenhead so I can practice a bit and get some better technique.

Great website BTW!

Re:Introduce yourself! - 14:23 07 Apr 09 Hi Shorty, welcome to the site

Dorney is probably the best but feel free to come down to our sessions in Camberley or the Street Skates in London.
In Vauxhall for the roller disco. Impressive setup. Now it's time to get my groove on - Twitter Status

Re:Introduce yourself! - 18:48 30 Apr 09 Spose I should add myself here...... roller bladerie sites being top notch for picking up valuable nuggets of information for my creed.

Me is a long distance skateboarder hailing from (you guessed it) Winnersh.

I used to ABSOLUTELY FREAKING (no - I'm not American) HATE roller bladers for messing up the coping on half pipes when I used to skate ramps, however I've matured now. Flat smooth surfaces is where it's at right now for me..... oh, that and the fine ladies in Lycra

You'll see me at Dorney. If I don't return the "hello" it's because I'm out of breath.

Re:Introduce yourself! - 00:05 04 Sep 09 Hello!!

30yr old from Wokingham, berks. Been skating since about six and did a bit of hockey in my teens. Went to local roller disco until it stopped and been doing road skating every now and then since. Recently went to the Renaissance rooms disco in Vauxhall which was a hoot! So me and girly decided to get back into it a bit more.

Might head to Dorney this Sunday and have a flap around there with her, or if anyone knows of any other decent areas in Berkshire?

Gonna try and and get down to your sk8 jam sometime although I work most Sats which is a crapper. Got the 26th Sept off so will try and pop over then! :o)

Re:Introduce yourself! - 21:19 12 Aug 10 Hi All,

Just registered, have already met a few of you at Eelmoor and probably at the Rollermarathon. I ride a Trikke (because gravity keeps getting in the way of my skating and because I can 'sort of' keep up with my wife who skates). Well done on the marathon (all those who organised and took part) - a fantastic event!

See you around!

James (and Janet).

Re:Introduce yourself! - 10:03 13 Aug 10 Hi ElevenWheels!
4+4+3 = 11
Good to see you here on the site! Hope you both enjoyed the marathon - getting round on one of those trikke contraptions still looks like alot of hard work to me
Will probably see you at Eelmoor again soon once we get our sunshine back!
