Bearings - 21:45 14 Feb 11 I have around 100 brand new ABEC 5 bearings @ £1 each+ postage. No need to buy a full set!!

Re:Bearings - 13:16 15 Feb 11 No manufacturer's markings. Only markings are ABEC 5 and 608ZZ. None of the bearings I have bought since the 1980's have any manufacturer's name. Is it important, and if it is, how can the manufacturer be identified. I was always under the impression that ABEC was an American engineering standard and that all ABEC marked bearings were manufactured to that standard.

Correct, ABEC is a standard of bearing tolerance which is essential in engineering but don't get me started on it's use within skating
