The LondonSkate - 10:18 10 Aug 05 This thread discusses the Content article: The LondonSkate

London Street Skating! Sounds fun .......well i can tell you IT IS!! GREAT FUN and more importantly as mentioned it is COMPLETELY FREE. Thats right no money just turn up with a pair of skates and a 'I can do this' attitude!

There is no feeling more bizzare than skating round london, seeing all the pretty site and (when the sun goes down) lights of london on skates! People stare in disbelief as hundreds of skating whizz past them...its am amazing buzz and the atmosphere alone will keep you going if you struggle at any point.

If your thinking 'Wow that sound fun, i'd love to give it a go' then DO...what do you have to lose, so you may not complete the first one you ever do...who cares! there is always next week, or the week after, the main aim is to HAVE FUN and trust me you will do

Personally this is my first year of doing them and I can't believe I didn't know about them or do them before! A must do for every year until well I can't skate

It is also worth mentioning that Skatefresh
do free hour long stopping lessons in Hyde Park during the skate starting at 8.00.

Re:The LondonSkate - 08:16 16 May 06 This entry is a bit out of date now I think - There are more regulars (not that I'd include myself).

I think it might be useful to include some notes about skill level required as well, 'cos as far as I'm concerned, you need to be fairly competent to make it round...

Re:The LondonSkate - 10:36 16 May 06 True. There is lots of information on the LondonSkate website.

Generally speaking you need to be able to turn and stop confidently.
Had a very quiet, relaxing but fun time at Eastbourne Extreme. Oh I do like to be beside the sea side. - Twitter Status
