Need info about Roller Disco - 09:29 14 Oct 05 Hi all!, i'm the newbie here so thought i'd start asking questions

Me and my mate are going to our very first Roller Disco night this Sat, and I'm not quite sure what to expect from it. Does everyone just skate around the rink, but while they play funky 70's 80's music?, or is everyone expected to try some of that roller dancing stuff?, or a bit of both?. I'm a good skater, but dont know yet about dancing on skates

If anyone can describe what happens on typical roller disco nights that be great!. Its at Roller World in Colchester by the way. The 1st half of Bill & Ben

Re:Need info about Roller Disco - 09:48 14 Oct 05 Well. I've only been to one (at Canva) and it really depends on what you want to do.

Generally there'll be a circle of people going around and some better skating dancers in the middle.

Be prepared to jump out of the way of fallers. If they have hire skates there it will be full of people not too sure of themselves..

Not that it matters - you'll have a great time.

Sounds fun!. Fortunately I'm generally good on skates and I have my own, o i'll mind out of the true novices on the hired skates lol

What about what people wear?. I heard some dress up in 70's clothes?

so I would say anything goes

This was a canvas though - I personally haven't been to rollerworld YET!

But trust us Bluxton, get a good group of people together and you will have a great Laugh!

And you won't worry about what you look like or how good your skating/dancing is after a while (especially if your drinking)

Re:Need info about Roller Disco - 11:36 14 Oct 05 I wouldn't advise it! Roller World have taken the questionable decision of putting the bar upstairs. Stairs, alcohol and wheels don't mix!

I'll get the ambulance ordered now......
