Ice Skating - Guidford Spectrum tonite! - 15:25 03 Nov 05 Really short notice I know but I'm going down to Guildford Spectrum tonight for their "Ice Cool Classics" skate-disco and was wondering if anyone else is up for it?

It starts at 20:30 and runs until 22:30 costing £4.50 to get in and £1.30 for skate hire.

According to the receptionist the music is 70's and 80's. I'm going as part of a "Mens Evening" with some of the people from church but it'll be good to see CSMSN there and trying out ice instead of wheels for a change!

Does anyone know of any Christmas Card recycling places near Camberley/Reading? I can't find any, should I put them in paper recycling? - Twitter Status

Managed to get the courage up to do a few laps backwards by the end but you really have to concentrate on your edges to get any turns etc going!

There's free skates on most nights at the spectrum but the "Ice Cool Classics" is particularly good for 80's tunes - G'n'R, Bryan Admas, MC Hammer etc etc. Almost asked for some Nik Kershaw!

That was when I was 16/17 years old though and was at the frustrating age of wanting to go out with mates & stay out quite late but not being old enough to get in the pubs!! He he. I have been fairly recently and bumped into a few familiar old faces...I kne quite a few good skaters up there at one point although I could never seem to transfer my inline skating onto ice

It just wasnt the same and I always had far more fear of falling on the ice! I would definately be up for a CSkate outing over there though! Be so much fub with you guys!!!
