Re:Is skating nerdy? - 22:43 04 Nov 05 I don't give a cr*p about the opinion of small minded people who think it's stupid...

And it CAN be serious - look at Gav and Hans...

Re:Is skating nerdy? - 22:58 04 Nov 05 most people I talk to seem to think its cool (if a little odd) - but then I probably wouldn't be talking to them if they were so small minded that they couldn't see how cool it is

Re:Is skating nerdy? - 00:40 05 Nov 05 I agree padrino, exactly.

My take on it is that skating 10 miles through the streets has a much better view then stareing at yourself in a gym mirror!

Re:Is skating nerdy? - 20:22 05 Nov 05 Yep, some people don't get it, but it's there loss, i just love the social aspect of skating, plus you can get competitive if you want too.
in the end, it's better to know you've always enjoyed yourself rather than
trying to be cool, skating does that for you.

Re:Is skating nerdy? - 14:20 07 Nov 05 I get quite a mixed response when i mention skating. Some think its sad and something you do if your 10 - 14 years old, while others think its wicked, they remember there childhood skating days and want to come out with us next time we go!.

I think its wicked, Its a regular part of my life now, and its doing wonders for my body, much more so than my usual running on a treadmil. I also like the social side of it. You have a laugh, enjoy the wonderful atmosphere and music, enjoy a drink with your mates, its fantastic!.
