Sardinia Stride Tips - 08:02 30 Nov 05
As something to think about, from the video review that we had, these are the points whihc Sebby noted (not necessarily about me) which you might be able to apply to your own skating...
Straight Set down - do not set down with toes out (or in). Set down nose-knees-toes. Carve - Carve and finish with feet parallel Fall & Push - fall to get the push - use gravity Always only on one foot Arm swing important - to front and back, not side to side. Set foot down late - keep weight on pushing foot for as long as possible Kiss your knees D-Recovery Keep knees bent and don't bob up and down Ensure there is a glide part of the stride Set down is on centre of wheels, possibly with very slight outside edge.
Probably no surprises, but consider each of those one at a time next time you're going around the arena. Not that it will matter - you'll need a video review to see everything that's wrong. And then you'll cry.
