Goodwood De-brief Minutes 15 Sep 2007 - 23:01 08 Oct 07 This thread discusses the Content article: Goodwood De-brief Minutes 15 Sep 2007

The De-brief Minutes are now posted, thank you again to everyone that helped to organise and took part in Goodwood Roller Marathon 2007, we could not have done it with out you!

I'm afraid there are some actions left over, could you please do your actions ASAP so that I can close down Goodwood 2007 before starting Goodwood 2008!

Thank you all so so much, you can all be so proud that we have created such a great event. Now the largest Roller Marathon in the UK!

Re:Goodwood De-brief Minutes 15 Sep 2007 - 15:21 09 Oct 07 Proposals for water stop next year based on discussions with Rick:-

1. Move position so it is before top of hill - current position is wherer skaters begin to speed up

2. At least two people on skates and two on foot - 4 people needed during the early stages

3. Same drop off point as last year for empty cups - this made collecting empty cups much easier.

4. We are hoping to make some kind of cup holder to allow the two helpers on skates to skate with half a dozen cups at once

5. A table on the opposite side of the track from the waterstop for bottles to be replenished - dump the bottle on one lap and pick it up on the next.

I hope we can do our usual half marathon early on again.

I do have a slight concern about allowing people to skate on after11 laps. The water stop has always closed after about 4 hours as everybody has finished by then. I would be happy with allowing anybody to skate on after 11 laps provided they either finished by 4pm or accepted that there was not going to be any water after 4pm.

I also need to work out what to do if it rains

Re:Goodwood De-brief Minutes 15 Sep 2007 - 11:07 10 Oct 07 Nice one Peter, thank you for capturing that. One thing we noted down (oops, we missed it off the minutes) was to talk to you much more about what you need next year. You are a very important key pin over on the other side of the track there http://twitpic.com/10wza - Highest MPG ever on my way home from work!
