Also a couple of notes from the hotel:

For the comfort and safety of all our guests, the da Vinci is a designated non-smoking hotel.

Check-In time: 14:00 and Check-Out time: 11:00.

The da Vinci hotel is situated in the centre of zone S which means that guests parking locally will be subject to parking restrictions operating between 0800 and 1800 from Monday to Saturday. We have made special arrangements to provide our guests with parking permits for the duration of their stay.
We have agreed to bear the cost of these permits which will be issued for each day of their stay and will be valid until 1100 the following day...which means you won’t have to get out of bed at 0800 to get a new ticket.

I'll double check but I think you just get them on arrival. I\'ll NEVER post on the forums

The Da Vinci gets my vote over the Gladwyn. It has better rooms, it's nearer to the Prom and general activity, you can see and hear the sea from the rooms, and once the fried bread was sorted!!

However from what I understand, the Gladwyn is now rented as appartments for students etc, so is no longer a choice.

Thanks to the family room residents for putting up with the chaos of all of us and our mess in their room.
