Re:Big Bike Southampton - 25th June 2011 - 22:56 20 Jun 11 Bring on the Ruckass! Looking forward to meeting Thumper(s) again. I gather Mick can't make it this year with his asbomb. Presume Dogsbody has the Cambox organised.

This is happening at Weston Shore (where it was in 2009). It's scheduled for 11:00am - 4:00pm. We left at 9:30 last year. So does this seem a reasonable time to be loaded and headed for the M3?

Will a Cobi be making an appearance again this year? LOL

Re:Big Bike Southampton - 25th June 2011 - 12:25 24 Jun 11 Bad news: It seems the organisers have had a change of heart and are doing lots of Ooos and Ahhs over having the sound systems there (insurance apparently). Additionally Thumper Paul can't make it due to work commitments

This doesn't actually stop us going down there for the bike ride or even going down there and doing our own thing. There are some lovely surfaces and good skating.

Or, we could take our trip somewhere else? Bath 2 Bristol? Or do a long overdue Camberley Street Skate!

I vote for a Camberley Street Skate

I have loads on so not keen on Bath to Bristol this weekend as it will be an even longer day than Southampton - I'd guess that Southampton might be quite busy with the bike ride on so personally would opt for another day to visit Southampton.

If the consensus is to go to Southampton to join the ride (in silence) or do our own thing, I'm still in, if you go to Bath I'll leave it this time, if you do a Camberley street skate I'm in

What do the rest of you think?

Was so looking forward to this.

Happy to go down there, but not sure there is any point without being official accompaniment for the rides, as it's not on closed roads.

Anyway the town is probably full of smelly rubbish as they have had no refuse services for a month.
