Brighton Indoor Winter Skate Jam Tue 24 Jan - 20:40 18 Jan 12 Is anyone here thinking of going to this? Looks like a nice long session, big floor, cheap-ish entry.

Brighton Indoor Winter Skate Jam
Tuesday 24th January, 7pm-10pm
At Roller Central in Shoreham

http://serpentineroad.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=37791

I know some people have been to this venue before, what's the situation with parking, food/drink, lockers, loos?

. . . the GYSO website is truely slow and infuriating, they really need to give it a makeover and remove all the whizzy stuff

Re:Brighton Indoor Winter Skate Jam Tue 24 Jan - 15:27 19 Jan 12 I have heard great things about this location. Very smooth and large.

I can't make it but someone take pictures!
A great talk from @davecarroll at #DigitalSurrey tonight. He's the writer of the United Breaks Guitars song and a great talker - Twitter Status

Re:Brighton Indoor Winter Skate Jam Tue 24 Jan - 15:34 19 Jan 12 I might go - It would be a bit of a rush and I'd probably not get there for 7pm but it would be interesting to turn up. If I do I'll take the camera.

Re:Brighton Indoor Winter Skate Jam Tue 24 Jan - 15:51 19 Jan 12 I could be interested... I've been before and it's a great place to skate - parking shouldn't be a problem, lockers (ehrm... nope, as far as I remember) loos... probably

If enough are interested, we could share driving.... who's up for sharing driving?

Re:Brighton Indoor Winter Skate Jam Tue 24 Jan - 16:15 19 Jan 12 I don't finish work till 5.20 pm. What time would you be thinking of leaving Andy?

Re:Brighton Indoor Winter Skate Jam Tue 24 Jan - 18:24 19 Jan 12 I'm happy to drive and can offer all the luxury, refinement and exhilarating driving experience that a 1.2 corsa has to bestow

Also like the idea of a 5:30 start (or earlier), I'd like to try and get as much skating and spectating time in as possible.

Have booked the following day off work as previous experience with long sessions has shown that upon waking the next day I seem to add 100 years to my age in the way I move and sound . . .

Re:Brighton Indoor Winter Skate Jam Tue 24 Jan - 18:47 19 Jan 12 If we leave at 5:30, we should get there round about when it starts - I'd struggle to leave any earlier to be honest

Nunc - is 5:30 OK for you (10 mins to get ready!)

Any other takers....

Thanks for the offer of driving kay... if we get more than 3 we could take my car, bit bigger.. bigger boot ... no more exhilarating though

Re:Brighton Indoor Winter Skate Jam Tue 24 Jan - 21:24 19 Jan 12 I can get to Camberley at about 5.30 give or take a few ticks - it would be good to go together. Where shall we meet where I can park up for the evening.

Red - you should come too! Appoint someone to collect the cash - I don't mind coughing up the £2.50 if you're short on numbers cause it's brilliant having the Sandhurst skate available every week - but it's also nice to get out and about in the skating world.
