MCS hip operation - 08:34 09 Jun 12 Chris is due to have his hip replacement op this morning.

I will be at the arena this evening with a card for peeps to sign.

He sent me a text to say he will be in hospital until Tueaday. I will ve going to see him either Sun or Monday.

I went to See MCS on Monday evening. He was a bit poorly then, but had a text from him earlier today to say that he had done stairs today and is hopeful to be home this evening.

His initial x-ray has shown that all is looking good and leg alignment i.e. length is evened-up with the other leg again.

Hot off the press, just had another text, he is awaiting pharmacy and then off.

First time back since I went for the op. Have to stand up to use the computer (chair too low), so won't be inputting too much yet.

Weird having legs the same length again.

Taking exercise indoor, and outdoor slow walking.

Dressing removed and stitches trimmed yesterday, and then redressed. All looking pretty clean.

Hopefully painkillers are not hiding anything cause the ache I had has disappeared. Some discomfort but quite different from pre-op.

As Red said (almost) - First physio next week (28th).
