What is the Cskate Association?
The 'Association' is the name given to the body of people that actively promote skating in and around Camberley using funds/profit raised by cskate (the website), sponsorship, fundraising etc..
Why have a Association?
Unfortunately things cost money! The Cskate website and it's members are in an ideal situation to raise this money to help promote skating in and around the Camberley area. With this money we can do things otherwise not possible such as buy equipment, pay for insurance and sponsor events.
What's this about money?
Yes, the Cskate Association has money! We are not talking mega money here but it should be pointed out that the Cskate Association is totally non-profit. ALL money spent goes towards skating. Books are kept showing all income and all outgoings which can be seen by anyone upon request.
You mentioned equipment?
Yes, if possible any equipment bought with money from the Cskate Association will be avaliable to anyone that wants to use it at any time. More information will be avaliable soon.
Who is involved?
The Cskate Association is not a club or fixed comittee. There are a number of seperate groups of people in and around Camberley organising events. The Association is a way of keeping all these seperate groups up to date with what is going on.
How do I get involved?
We are always looking for people to help out organise events or even just parts of events. Please post on the Cskate Association forums or feel free to attend a meeting. If you cannot spare any time we are always looking for financial donations which are always appreciated
When are the meetings?
Meetings will be
announced on the forum and ANYONE is welcome to come along that wishes
to have a say in or help out with projects. Decisions on what money should be spent on as well as updates on
existing projects will be made at these meetings and the minutes will
be posted up on this site afterwards. Comments & opinions can be
made before or after a meeting however we recommend that you attend a
meeting if possible. Meetings will be approximately monthly.
Isn't this a conflict of interest?
The Cskate Association will try very hard not to exclude anyone from
anything. PLEASE let us know if you feel this is not the case! We
realise that there may be a conflict of interest for people that earn
money from skating and just ask that everyone tries to keep details as
clear as possible regarding costs, equipment used, insurance used, etc..
