Farnborough (Eelmoor) Test Track PDF Print

Farnborough Test Track (also known as Eelmoor Test Track) is exactly that, it is a test track that is used by the army to do their driver training.  Like a lot of the local army areas it is public access when they are not using it.  The track is tarmacked  and while it is not the best surface it is perfectly skate-able even for learners although you do sometimes have to share the track with cyclists also using it for training and radio controlled toys.

The nice thing about the track is that it's a big circuit, one lap is 1.5km so it is brilliant for distance training but also good for giving those legs a stretch.  Unfortunately the car park is not tarmacked which means you have to walk to the track and change into your skates.  There are also no lights, you wouldn't want to stay there after sundown as you are in the woods.

You can see the location (and the outline of the track) HERE , the marker is where the dirt car park is.
