If your already familiar with WAP then just point your phone at http://www.cskate.co.uk/wap/

You can access at any time to read the last forum posts, browse through the FAQ's, see the latest weather forecast and see who's online.

WAP pages are designed to be viewed on the small screens of a phone, so they don't have alot of the graphics or colours that this site has but the content is exactly the same.

Most WAP phones should already be configured and have the dial up number stored (this is different for each network operator)  The way to start using WAP depends on the user's phone:

  1. Find the WAP menu in the phone. This menu may be called services, applications, browser or possibly internet.
  2. Once in the menu, select either Home or start browser (or similar)
  3. To select a link, scroll until it is highlighted, then press either OK or the green telephone button on the phone.
  4. When you have finished using WAP, you can end by either pressing the end call button a couple of times, or by selecting quit browser (or similar) from the phone menu.
The following links should help you to set up and access WAP services on your own particular network/handset:

T-mobile - Go to 'Phones and Services' and click on 'WAP'.  From 'Getting Started' you can use the 'WAP and MMS configurator' option which lists WAP compatible phones available on the network - select your own handset and there is a step-by-step guide to set-up your phone.

Orange - Go to 'get help using your phone', and select your phone from the menu.  Select 'your Orange services' and follow the instructions for WAP or GPRS on your handset.

O2 - Click on 'WAP', under 'Products and Services' and then and choose 'Get Settings'. Here you'll find configuration instructions - when you click on your own handset from the menu, there is a service whereby you can receive your own WAP settings in the form of a text message.

Vodafone - In the 'Get more from your mobile' area, select 'Internet on the move' and 'WAP'. Here, you'll find configuration instructions - when you click on your own handset from the list, there is a service whereby you can have the Vodafone WAP settings sent directly to your phone.
